One of the more common uses of mobile marketing is to deliver a targeted, personalised campaign direct to clients on behalf of the vet practice. By making the message look and feel as though it has come from the vet it reassures the customer that the promotion is for them and they know and trust the source. This method is completely at odds with the random approach taken by the PPI and car accident companies.
Where this technique has been used very successfully was to promote Milbemax, the market leader wormer product for small animals. The drug recently went out of patent protection and as a result a number of generic products were launched into the market. Elanco needed a strategy to protect its market share and we were able to build a strong national campaign that achieved the twin goals of maintaining price and protecting (and in some areas even increasing) market share.
